Huelga (Tri-Blend)

I made this one to pay homage to Dolores Huerta and the Huelga movement she created (along with César Chávez) to defend the civil rights of farm work in this country, most of which were Latinos. Dolores has been a long time advocate for workers', immigrants', and Womens' rights.

I was inspired by the handmade poster Dolores held firm above her during the 1965 Delano Grape Strike.

- Tri-Blend is a technical term used for garments made out of three different types of threads. This makes the t-shirts lighter, with a vintage feel and very soft to the touch.
